okay.
so... this is about the Australian Mathematics Competition(AMC) 2008.
It will be held on 31 July, in school from 3.15pm to 4.45pm.
It is not compulsory but the school highly encourages you to take part. One of the criteria for selecting students into the Raffles Academy for Mathematics (i have no idea wads this) is based on your performance in AMC.
The AMC is a mathematics competition containing 25MCQ problems and 5 questions requiring a number answer that students can attempt in the time allowed.The problems are very easy at the start and become progressively more difficult until the end when they are challenging to the most gifted student(!!!). Unlike formal mathematics testing, many of the problems are set in situations to which students can relate, showing the relevance of mathematics to their everyday lives.
**(NEW)Questions 26 to 30 will now be worth 6,7,8,9 and 10 marks respectively. The total marks possible is 135.

the one at the bottom is the front and the other one, the back :)
SOME THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE IMAGE.
1. this is a ROUGH IDEA of the t-shirt. the whole thing is PHOTOSHOPPED, so the heart is disfigured, since i don't have a tablet.
2. the donut picture is diagonally sided to the left, because i cloned an ANGLED picture i took of the class flag. so, don't ask me why the position is weird -.-
3. the shirt will NOT have the words "NAME" and "(image)" on it. i am pointing this out in case some people are too blur :D "NAME" is obviously your name, but you may not understand image :) the image is something special that will represent each of us with something that makes us different from the rest. (eg. viclim;open mouth wide, cause talk a lot, michelle (YX); girl holding bowling ball, etc.)
4. the heartbeat MAY NOT look like that, since i cloned it from a picture on the web to make life easier for myself.

Hey everyone,
I forgot to announce to the whole class today something. Sorry! Here's the announcement:
There's a woman in Malaysia (I think) taking care of poor children whose parents had been killed during war time. I think Vietnam war. Not sure. Anyway, they are so poor that they do not even have school shoes to wear to school. As they have to go to school, they will need school shoes. So here is a plea that goes out to everyone that if you have extra pair of school shoes which you do not or hardly wear and do not really need them, please put it into a plastic bag, and bring it to the General Office tomorrow. But you can bring them on subsequent days too. Basically, they need 30 pairs of shoes by tomorrow because the woman is returning to Malaysia tomorrow. If you are donating, please make sure that the shoes are still wearable and do not have holes. They MUST be white. This is not compulsory. BTW, the size doesn't matter (I think). Mrs Shirley Tan didn't mention. Anyway, if it is really inconvenient to bring them tomorrow, you do not have to because the whole school is informed so there are probably a thousand people out there and only 30 pairs are needed. But please try to bring them tomorrow if you have. A little hassle goes a long way... Think about those who need them badly. Yeah? :))
Here's another announcement from Mrs Lim. She just smsed me around 6 because she forgot to tell us some things during our lesson. Here are the details:

And this is VERY IMPORTANT: A FILE CHECK WILL BE CONDUCTED FOR INDEX NUMBERS 1-10 IN THE NEXT CHEMISTRY LESSON. WE WILL BE HAVING THE REAL FORMULAE TEST AND PEOPLE MENTIONED ABOVE WILL HAVE THEIR FILES CHECKED DURING LESSON. Here are details on how to file: File the worksheets and handouts according to date. Those not gone through yet, file them in too.

So it's up to you to whether you want to depend on it. But please don't come after me if it's wrong. Anyway, I think many of you did not take it down when I read it out or bothered to look at it after I put it on the whiteboard. How come ah? OK, next time please pay more attention to these things. I've already read it and put it up, so there's no reason why you should come looking for me. I'm very busy too. So here it is:

then at the front erm, the one for all, all for one thing might be quite cool, IF we can design it well with an image and stuff yeah.

I don't really know much of the details but there is definitely a class t-shirt design thing. I don't think it is a competition but if u have any ideas about a t-shirt design for 104 (p.s. doesn't need to have the doughnut) just jot it down and tell me when school reopens (for the time being till i find out who's in charge of it) I know that all of u are really busy but just think of it when u are free (i.e. in the toilet, before u drift off to dreamland etc) because it would be bad if all the other classes have class t-shirt and we have to wear pe shirt. If anyone knows the details, please post it.

The performances today were quite nice . especially the part when all the ppl with white skin were standing on the stage. they all looked so like statues!! it was like so real and oso a bit creepy. teehehehe :D
oh yeah why so many ppl have b'dae today? I know 4 people who's b'dae is today haha so qiao hor. anw,........
